Infinite loop spaces in algebraic geometry

Abstract: Classically, infinite loop spaces are provided with an additional structure, described in topological terms. The category of spaces with such a structure is equivalent to the category of connective spectra. We will discuss an analogous structure in the settings of algebraic geometry, which gives a criterion for motivic infinite loop spaces.
