Momentum polytopes of projective spherical varieties

Abstract: Spherical varieties are a natural generalization of toric varieties, where the acting torus is replaced by a general connected reductive group. In this talk, I will explain how one can use their rich combinatorics to characterize the momentum polytopes of projective spherical varieties. I will also discuss an application to the Kählerizability problem for compact multiplicity free Hamiltonian manifolds. This talk is based on joint work with S. Cupit-Foutou and G. Pezzini.
